Option 1. If
you are coming from MO, NW go through Cassville
take hwy 76 to 86 go through
Eagle Rock
across the lake looking for the gas station that
was a Texaco on your right, this tee
intersection
is MO, county rd. "P". This short rd. takes you
to Ark. Hwy. 23 stay on Hwy. 23 past
Holiday Island
down the hill looking for Abundant Memories on
your right 3 /10th past
Abundant
Memories you are making a right curve and just
before you cross a 1929 style
concrete bridge take a 90 deg. Left turn onto
County Rd. 266 {It is narrow by yankee standards
but
very passable
if you take caution.} In 2.5 miles you will come
to a Tee
intersection turn Left and
proceed 2/10th
miles to Hammer Field. It's 11 miles from
the Hwy. "P" intersection to Hammer Field. This is the
shortest quickest way. If you blow the turn at CR
266 and don't want to turn around follow signs to the
Passion Play but when you get to the Passion Play
entrance turn right and this will take you to the Exxon
station and then follow the directions below.
This is 5 miles longer..
Option 2.
If you are coming from MO, NW go through
Cassville hwy 76 to 86 to Golden, MO
just past the
Shumaker Tire shop and Costal gas station about
3/8 mile is hwy
143 Right
take it
through to hwy 62 and take a right and wiggle
around when you are on top of the
hill look on
your . Look for the Lumber
Yard on you right the next road is CR 207 aka Onyx
Cave Road.
If you see an
Exxon station you passed us
up go back to he next paved rd. and turn left
on OCR.
If you are coming
up I-540 use your map and locate hwy 45. The
way I go is Exit 60 onto
that short stub of freeway to Bus. 71 Left to
next light 16 Right E. to 265 Right N. to
45 Right East to Hinesville, through Clifty
on hwy 12, and you will hit hwy 23
go left North. From Hwy 540 to the flying
field is 55 miles and takes about 60
minutes to drive.
If you are
coming form Tulsa and are towing we advise that
you come up ARK hwy 23
north, join hwy 62 blend Right onto hwy 62. You
can get to hwy 23 through Rogers
taking hwy 12 to 127 or from Springdale taking
hwy 412 45 Right
East to, through Clifty on hwy 12, and you will
hit hwy 23 go left North at 62 Right When you see
the Exxon station go past it to the next paved Rd.
and turn Left and go 2.3 mi on CR
207.
If you are
coming up from LA (Lower Arkansaw) I use hwy 21 to
get from I-40 to Berryville hwy
62 and take
a left on hwy
62 go west
past several stop lights past the Wal Mart and
wiggle around when you
are on top of
the hill . Look
for the Lumber Yard on you right the next road is
CR 207 aka Onyx Cave Road. If you
see an Exxon station you passed us
up go back to he next paved rd.
and
turn left on OCR.
